Job summary

Stantec invites motivated archaeologists to join the Environmental Services Cultural Resources Team from Oregon and Washington. You’ll support field directors, conduct surveys, and help document sites. The role emphasizes collaboration, safety, and diverse project experiences across multiple offices.

Requirements include a BA in Anthropology/Archaeology, 1 year CRM experience, and the ability to travel. This is a demanding, team-based field position with growth opportunities within a respected

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology or Archaeology is required.
  • CRM field experience of at least 1 year is preferred.
  • Experience with both small and large archaeological crews is desired.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and follow directions within a fast-paced team.
  • Ability to travel out-of-town for up to two weeks at a time.

Responsibilities

  • Directly support field directors and project managers with planning, surveys and monitoring.
  • Work independently and as part of a crew in the field.
  • Identify and document archaeological potential areas and sites.
  • Collect and manage field data and assist with construction planning.
  • Collaborate with Native American groups and adhere to safety protocols.
