Job summary

Stantec seeks innovative archaeological staff to support our Environmental Services Cultural Resources Team across multiple offices, including Idaho. You will assist field directors, conduct surveys, document sites, collect data, and support construction planning on diverse projects.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s in Anthropology/Archaeology, CRM experience, and the ability to travel for fieldwork, often in remote or challenging environments. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology or Archaeology.
  • CRM experience (1 year) is preferred.
  • Experience with both small and large archaeological crews.
  • Willing to travel up to 2 weeks at a time.
  • Proficiency with field data collection and GPS tools.

Responsibilities

  • Directly support archaeological field directors and project managers by assisting with pre-field planning, cultural surveys, and monitoring
  • Exhibit good field skills and can work independently and as part of a crew
  • Participate in identifying and recording areas of archaeological potential, archaeological sites, and traditional use sites
  • Collect appropriate field data
  • Support construction planning
