Job summary

Stantec is seeking archaeologists to join our Cultural Resources team across multiple locations. You will assist with pre-field planning, surveys, and monitoring while working with field directors and project managers.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology or Archaeology and CRM experience. Willingness to travel up to 2 weeks and operate in diverse environments is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology or Archaeology.
• 1 year minimum CRM experience.
• Experience with both small and large archaeological crews.

Responsibilities

• Directly support archaeological field directors and project managers by assisting with pre-field planning, cultural surveys, and monitoring.
• Exhibit good field skills and can work independently and as part of a crew.
• Participate in identifying and recording areas of archaeological potential, archaeological sites, and traditional use sites.
• Collect appropriate field data.
• Support construction planning.
