Job summary

Southern Management Companies in Maryland is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Service Technician (M2/M3) to support property operations on a rotating on-call schedule. The role covers diagnosing problems and performing repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, and more to keep the community safe and comfortable.

You will document service requests, maintain inventories, and participate in on-call rotations, with an opportunity for a 50% discount live-on apartment.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in maintenance related field(s).
• Successful completion of Basic Electric class offered at SMC internal training facility.
• Successful completion of all other basic maintenance classes offered internally and all on-the-job training within one year of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems and make repairs in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall and related areas.
• Perform preventive maintenance on fan coil and convector HVAC units.
