Job summary

Southern Management Co. is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Service Technician in Adelphi, MD. This full-time role covers diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining community assets to meet company standards and laws.

You will handle HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and related tasks, including on-call duties, with emphasis on safety and proper documentation. A valid Type II CFC license is required.

Qualifications

• Seven years of experience in maintenance related fields.
• Type II CFC License or higher.
• Completion of basic maintenance classes and on-the-job training within one year of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Address, follow up and document service requests.
• Diagnose HVAC problems and repair or replace components.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC units.
• Complete additional preventive maintenance inspections.
• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled.
• Maintain inventory of supplies.
• Ensure work and documentation comply with quality standards.
