Job summary

PPG Industries, Inc in Monroeville, PA seeks an OLED Technical Support Chemist to support root cause investigations of deviant manufacturing batches in OLED materials production. You will identify variability sources and implement corrective actions, collaborating with PD, Quality, and Supply Chain.

Responsibilities include analyzing materials via HPLC, GC, NMR; evaluating raw materials; documenting findings; and supporting supplier qualification. Report to Technical Service Lead.

Qualifications

• MS in Chemistry, Materials Science, or related discipline (or BS with >5 years industry experience).
• Strong background in root cause analysis and experimental design.
• Experience with OLED materials or electronic materials processing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead root cause investigations for deviant batches using structured problem-solving methods.
• Evaluate out-of-spec materials via testing and risk assessments.
• Perform analytical and structural analyses (HPLC, GC, NMR, PXRD/XRD, PLM, DSC).
• Support qualification and validation of new raw material suppliers.
• Document procedures and communicate findings to internal teams.
