Job summary

Adesis Inc., a subsidiary of Universal Display Corporation, is seeking a Research Scientist – Process Research Development to join the Enabling Technologies team. You will develop innovative synthetic methodologies and perform reaction and flow chemistry development to advance OLED materials and devices.

Qualifications

• PhD in Organic or Organometallic Chemistry required.
• Experience in multi-step synthesis and characterization of organic/organometallic compounds.
• Knowledge of reaction mechanisms in organic chemistry.
• Familiarity with modern synthetic techniques and instrumentation (flow chemistry, high-throughput experimentation).
• Knowledge of data analytic tools, Design of Experiments, and analytical techniques (HPLC, GC, NMR).
• Proficiency with MS Office, ChemDraw, e-notebook, and LIMS.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop modern synthetic methodologies for bond formations.
• Develop molecular assembly strategies for advanced OLED molecules and drive down cost of goods.
• Use DOE and statistical tools to understand process parameters.
• Apply kinetic models and reaction mechanisms for process optimization.
• Design and execute flow chemistry and batch-to-flow conversions for OLED material synthesis.
• Collaborate with chemists and engineers to improve materials and devices.
• Maintain accurate experimental records and ensure safety in the lab.
