Job summary

Adesis Inc., a subsidiary of Universal Display Corporation, is seeking a chemist to purify target OLED-related compounds using SFC and HPLC techniques, with follow-on characterization by HPLC/MS, NMR, and GC/MS. The role requires maintaining purification instrumentation and meticulous notebooks in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary research environment.

Qualifications

• PhD in Organic chemistry or analytical chemistry required.
• 1–2 years industry or post-doctoral experience preferred.
• Experience with HPLC and prep-HPLC instrumentation required.
• Experience with OLED molecules is preferable.
• Experience with prep/process scale HPLE/SFC purification preferable.

Responsibilities

• Purify target compounds using SFC and HPLC (normal and reverse phase), recrystallization and Trituration.
• Characterize compounds using HPLC/MS, NMR, GC/MS.
• Identify and evaluate new technologies, techniques, and stationary phases to expand team capabilities.
• Maintain purification instrumentation including LCMS and Prep HPLC systems.
• Maintain thorough chemistry notebooks and communicate results clearly with peers and management.
