Job summary

PPG in Monroeville, PA seeks an OLED Technical Support Chemist to lead root cause investigations of deviant manufacturing batches and identify sources of variability in materials production.

You will work at the intersection of PD, Manufacturing, Quality and Supply Chain, supporting raw material qualification and communicating findings to teams. The role requires strong analytical skills and experience with OLED materials and analytical techniques.

Qualifications

• M.S. in Chemistry, Materials Science, or related discipline or B.S. with 5+ years industry experience.
• Strong background in root cause analysis and statistical thinking.
• Hands-on in OLED materials, organic synthesis, or electronic materials processing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead root cause investigations for production batches with nonconformances using structured problem-solving.
• Evaluate out-of-spec materials via use-testing and quality risk assessments (stability/variability).
• Perform and interpret analytical and structural analyses (HPLC, GC, NMR; PXRD/XRD, PLM, DSC).
• Support qualification and validation of new raw material suppliers.
