Job summary

Island is seeking a hands-on IT Support Specialist to keep employees productive across hardware, software, and access needs. This role combines technical problem-solving with strong communication and ownership in a fast-paced environment.

You will be the primary contact for IT inquiries, support both macOS and Windows, and help onboard new hires with the necessary tools and access. A startup background is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 4–6+ years in an IT support / helpdesk role.
• Experience with identity and device management tools (Okta, AD).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; manage conference room logistics.
• Comfort supporting macOS and Windows; device management.
• Startup experience or IDF unit preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting across hardware and software.
• Basic networking concepts and remote connectivity (VPN).

Responsibilities

• Be the primary IT contact for employees across hardware, software, and access issues.
• Diagnose and resolve problems via remote sessions and direct interaction.
• Take ownership of requests from initial troubleshooting through escalation when needed.
• Set up and onboard new employees with tools and provisioning.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve processes and the user experience.
• Maintain office IT infrastructure, meeting rooms, and shared equipment.
