DLA Piper is seeking a Compliance Coordinator to support the Office of General Counsel with administrative coordination across firm Compliance operations and risk initiatives, including due diligence. The role sits in a hybrid environment across several U.S. offices and includes duties from background-check review to data maintenance.

The candidate will handle licensing compliance, respond to internal requests, and maintain databases while upholding confidentiality in a fast-paced legal setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2 years demonstrated success in a fast-paced legal environment.
• Strong confidentiality and discretion with respect to sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Assist in organization and first-level review of background checks for potential timekeeper candidates.
• Track issues from identification through resolution.
• Assist in monitoring attorney licensing compliance.
• Review and research compliance requests from firm attorneys and business professionals.
• Assist in creation and maintenance of databases.
• Research public records using public websites.
• Perform database research and data entry.
• Compile and organize information from various internal firm sources to support OGC projects.
• Assist with preparing a variety of documents, forms, charts, letters, etc.
