Job summary

DLA Piper seeks a Compliance Coordinator to support the Office of General Counsel by providing administrative coordination for compliance operations and risk management, including due diligence activities.

The role collaborates with attorneys, paralegals and business professionals, monitors licensing compliance, maintains databases, and helps prepare documents in a fast-paced hybrid Atlanta-area office. A Bachelor’s degree and at least two years in a legal environment are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2 years demonstrated success working in a fast-paced legal environment.
• Experience with background checks and licensing compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in organization and first level review of background checks for potential timekeeper candidates.
• Track issues from identification through resolution.
• Assist in monitoring attorney licensing compliance.
• Review and research compliance requests from firm attorneys and business professionals.
• Assist in creation and maintenance of databases.
• Research public records using public websites.
• Perform database research and data entry.
• Compile and organize information from various internal firm sources to support OGC projects.
• Assist with preparing a variety of documents, forms, charts, letters, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.
