Job summary

ConocoPhillips is seeking an Offshore Oiler to operate under the First Assistant Engineer and Junior Engineer. The role requires understanding engine room machinery, assisting with plant operations, troubleshooting, and participating in drills and safety rules enforcement.

It is a safety sensitive position with no relocation offered. Responsibilities include monitoring equipment, cleaning system components, assisting with crane operations, and maintaining logs of readings.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• TWIC card required.
• MMC required for engi­neering watch.
• Endorsements listed above are required or preferred.
• Perform maintenance on equipment and supervise safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor equipment and perform routine maintenance.
• Clean engine room components and purification systems.
• Assist with crane and rigging operations after training.
• Conduct tank soundings and tank topping as directed.
• Record readings and report anomalies.
• Work 12-hour shifts with overtime as specified.

Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC)

Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC)

Endorsements: Basic Oil Tanker Cargo Operations

Endorsement: Security Awareness
