Job summary

Transocean Ltd is seeking a 2nd Assistant Engineer to supervise maintenance and repair of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on offshore drilling units. You will ensure safe, efficient operation of the rig and compliance with environmental and safety standards.

The role requires relevant licenses, experience with offshore maintenance, and ability to lead junior crew while coordinating with the First Engineer and field support teams. A strong safety focus is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; trade/technical certificates preferred.
• Military discharge may be preferred for US candidates.
• Graduate of trade school or university where relevant knowledge applies.
• Valid medical exam and vaccination certificates.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance and repair of mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment onboard the vessel.
• Exercise effective control and efficient operation of the rig with due regard to safety and the environment.
• Report to 1st Assistant Engineer and supervise 3rd Assistant Engineer and Motor Operator.
• Follow CoW, HSE requirements and participate in emergency drills and safety meetings.
