Job summary

GE Vernova’s Power Conversion & Storage team is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, commission, and troubleshoot drive, power, and automation systems at customer sites during ship construction and on offshore vessels. The role requires extensive travel and on-site leadership to ensure customer satisfaction and equipment integrity.

Candidates should have electrical engineering credentials, hands-on offshore experience, and the ability to obtain security clearance for DoD projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Associate's Degree with a minimum of 3 additional years of related industry experience.
• High School diploma or GED with a minimum of 6 years of related industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation and commissioning on drive systems, power systems, automation systems or dynamic positioning systems at customer site locations during ship construction.
• Troubleshoot at site locations during Port visits or at sea to diagnose problems and implement corrective actions.
• Perform engineering tasks to ensure proper installation and commissioning of equipment and maintain technical integrity.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering

Associate's Degree or related discipline + 3 years of experience

High School diploma or GED + 6 years of experience
