Job summary

GE Vernova's Power Conversion & Storage business seeks a Lead Field Service Engineer to lead on-site installation, commissioning, and testing of drive, power, and automation systems at customer locations, including shipyards and offshore sites.

Travel is extensive (up to 85%), with offshore HUET considerations, and the role requires a electrical engineering degree or equivalent and willingness to work extended hours to support critical projects across North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Associate's Degree or related discipline with minimum 5 years of related industry experience.
• School diploma or GED equivalency with minimum 8 years of related industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation and commissioning on drive systems, power systems, automation systems or dynamic positioning systems at customer site locations during ship construction.
• Troubleshoot on-site during Port visits or at sea to diagnose issues and implement corrective actions.
• Develop documents for commissioning and maintenance procedures and provide customer training.
• Manage on-site projects and act as technical lead to resolve customer issues and ensure satisfaction.
• Identify sales opportunities for service agreements, spare parts, training and upgrades.
• Provide on-call support in response to service requests.
• Support growth and direction of the North American business.
