Job Title: Office Assistant
Location: Flint, Michigan
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay: $16 an hour

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Office Assistant to join a professional team in Flint, Michigan. The ideal candidate will have prior office assistance or administrative experience and be comfortable managing a variety of responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Answer and direct phone calls on multiline phone systems; take and relay messages accurately and effectively to the necessary staff members in a timely manner.
- Direct and greet guests and vendors who visit the Administration building in a courteous and professional manner; maintain entrance security.
- Support the day-to-day activities of the administrative office.
- Process and distribute all incoming and outgoing mail, including interoffice and US postal mail; operate mail machine and apply appropriate postage to outgoing mail; receive and sign for packages (such as Amazon, USPS, FedEx, etc).
- Coordinate meetings to include scheduling, preparing documents, ordering food/beverages, and setting up meeting rooms.
- Maintain supplies in the Administration stockroom and keep supplies in order; order additional supplies when necessary.
- Complete new employee reference checks, pre-employment screenings, and general administration duties.
- Works closely with Executive Assistant to the CEO and COO and may assist with administrative dues and/or special projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two (2) years’ clerical experience in the performance of high-level executive administrative work
- Ability to type 40 wpm
- Must demonstrate written and oral communication skills, as well as strong organizational and analytical skills
- Strong computer skills and extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Preferred:
- Associates degree in clerical or administrative field
- Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in the performance of high-level executive administrative work
