JAS Worldwide in New York is seeking an Ocean Import Specialist to manage ocean import shipments, ensuring compliance and providing solutions that meet customer expectations. You will handle bookings, prepare entries, monitor releases, coordinate with truckers, and maintain documentation.

The role requires at least 3 years in ocean imports, knowledge of US customs procedures, and strong organizational and communication skills. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Ocean imports or related field.
• US customs laws knowledge.
• High attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage ocean import shipments and maintain accurate documentation.
• Notify customers of arrivals, charges, and delays.
• Prepare Customs entries and classify invoices.
• Transmit information to ABI and monitor releases.
• Coordinate entry, break-bulk shipments and payments.
• Provide quotes with rates and tariffs as needed.
• Maintain files and update shipment status in systems.
• Ensure compliance with laws and company policies.
