Job summary

JAS Forwarding (USA), Inc. is seeking an experienced Import Specialist to process ocean import shipments with a focus on accuracy, regulatory compliance, and customer service.

You will handle bookings, prepare documentation, and coordinate entries and break bulk shipments in collaboration with Sales and Operations. Responsibilities include processing FDA entries, managing customs duties, and ensuring timely release and payment instructions.

Responsibilities

• Receive and track customer bookings/orders; send shipping instructions overseas.
• Notify customer of arrival and charges; communicate delays and holds.
• Process Customs Entries and FDA entries; classify invoices and file entries.
• Ensure accurate documentation and data quality for shipments.
• Coordinate entry and break bulk shipments; work with Sales on implementation.
• Bill/invoice files to customers; manage payables and receivables.
