JAS Forwarding is seeking an Ocean Import Specialist in New Jersey to manage ocean import shipments and ensure high-quality service that meets customer expectations. You will handle bookings, notifications, customs entries, and payment coordination with a focus on accuracy and regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong organization, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of US customs procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Ocean imports or a combination of education and expertise.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of US customs laws, procedures, and import entry practices.

Responsabilités

• Receive and track customer bookings and orders, sending shipping instructions overseas per customer specifications or SOPs.
• Notify customers of shipment arrivals, charges, and delays, including customs or exam holds.
• Prepare and process Customs entries, classify invoices, file RLF entries, and ensure documentation accuracy.
