Job summary

JAS Forwarding (USA), Inc. is seeking an Ocean Import Supervisor to oversee day-to-day ocean import operations and ensure accurate handling of shipments in line with customer expectations.

This role supports the Import Manager and serves as a key liaison between the operations team and leadership to maintain efficiency and high service standards. The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or GED and 4–6 years of ocean imports experience, with FDA experience and knowledge of ISF

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 4-6 years of ocean imports experience or equivalent education.
• FDA experience is required and knowledge of ISF procedures is preferred.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day ocean import operations and act as liaison between operations and leadership.
• Process customs entries and ensure accuracy in documentation and classifications.
• Monitor shipments, provide release and delivery instructions, and manage exceptions.
• Coordinate with sales and customers to ensure smooth implementation and transitions.
• Ensure file contains all necessary documents and maintain data quality and timely communication.

Education

High School diploma or GED

4-6 years ocean imports experience

FDA experience required

Knowledge of ISF & ISF procedures

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and teamwork
