Job summary

JAS Forwarding (USA), Inc. in New York hires an Ocean Import Supervisor to oversee daily ocean import operations and support the Import Manager in achieving efficiency and service quality.

You will receive and track customer bookings, process Customs entries (FDA-related), transmit data to ABI, monitor shipments, and coordinate with sales, vendors, and carriers to ensure timely releases. A High School diploma or GED and 4–6 years in ocean imports with FDA experience are required; strong

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 4-6 years experience in ocean imports or combination of education and expertise.
• FDA Experience is required.
• Knowledge of ISF & ISF procedures.
• Knowledge of POA & FPOA entry processes.

Responsibilities

• Receive and track customer bookings/orders.
• Process Customs Entries, i.e. classify invoice, file RLF entries, enter electronic invoices.
• Own the process for FDA related entries.
• Review and prepare documentation with accuracy on every detail and aspect.
• Transmit information to ABI, verify results and make corrections if necessary.
• Check Customs release details and ensure any discrepancies are handled properly.
