Job summary

Synchrony is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) in Muncie, IN to provide therapeutic interventions under the direction of an Occupational Therapist. Responsibilities include assisting in treatment plans, ADL training, and documentation of patient progress.

The role requires OTA licensure, CPR (preferred), and 0–1 years of experience. Benefits include weekly pay and a comprehensive benefits package upon employment.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a current, valid state OTA licensure or certification
• Current valid CPR certification, preferred
• Education: Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program
• Experience: 0-1 years

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, including therapeutic exercises, ADL training, and other interventions.
• Help patients with exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques for independence.
• Observe and maintain up-to-date documentation on patient responses, progress, and report to supervising OT.
• Provide education and guidance to patients and families on home exercises and strategies for progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Support OTs in evaluating patient needs and progress, providing observations and insights.
• Other duties as assigned.
