Job summary

Synchrony in Muncie, IN seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant to work under the direction of an Occupational Therapist in an interdisciplinary environment. You will implement therapeutic interventions, assist with ADL training, and document patient progress to inform care plans.

Required: OTA degree and state licensure or certification, CPR certification preferred; 0-1 years experience acceptable. We offer weekly pay, benefits after the first month, and a strong 401(k) match with student loan

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in OTA from an accredited program.
• Experience: 0-1 years.
• Licenses and Certifications: OTA licensure/certification required; CPR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, including exercises and ADL training.
• Help patients with exercises and adaptive techniques to improve function and independence.
• Document patient responses and progress; report findings to supervising OT.
• Educate patients and families on home exercises and strategies to support progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Support OTs in evaluating patient needs and observing progress.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
