Job summary

Synchrony is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) in the US-IN-Muncie area. The OTA works under the direction of an Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary setting, upholding professional standards and ethics.

Requirements include an OTA degree from an accredited program and a current OTA license or certification, with CPR certification preferred. Experience is 0-1 years.

• Experience: 0-1 years.
• Licenses and certifications: Current state OTA licensure or certification; CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, including therapeutic exercises, ADL training, and other interventions.
• Help patients with exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques aimed at improving functional abilities and independence.
• Observe and maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients’ responses to therapy, report progress to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Provide education to patients and families on home exercises and adaptive techniques.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Support Occupational Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress.
