Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT)–IDFPR (Illinois)
• BLS within 30 days – American Heart Association (AHA)
• Bachelor's Degree: Occupational Therapy (Required)

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to transfer patients with assistance and uses safe body mechanics. Delivers compassionate care with dignity and empathy.
• Designs and adjusts a plan of care with goals, outcomes, and discharge plan based on patient response and evidence.
• Assesses for, creates, and fits splints/orthotics as needed.
• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students, and other health care providers using effective teaching methods.
• Evaluates clinical findings to determine physical therapy diagnoses and plan of care.
• Performs examinations using reliable methods relevant to the chief complaint and history.
• Screens patients to determine need for therapy services and supervises support personnel as permitted by law.
• Monitors care delivered by support staff and provides feedback.
• Communicates with the medical team and completes documentation per department standards.
• Meets customer service and productivity standards.
• Serves as a clinical instructor when assigned.
• Participates in team, program, and department activities and meetings.
• Performs reporting and other duties as assigned.
