Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist to plan and administer treatment plans focused on alleviating pain, restoring function, and promoting overall health. You will lead patient care, educate families and staff, and serve as a clinical instructor when needed, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires an OT license, a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy, and BLS certification within 30 days. Sign-on and relocation bonuses are available as described.

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) per IDFPR requirements.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA).
• Bachelor's Degree: Occupational Therapy (Required).

Responsibilities

• Plans and administers OT treatment plans to alleviate pain, restore function, prevent disabilities, and promote health.
• Educates patients, families, caregivers, students, and other providers using effective teaching methods.
• Assesses, creates, modifies, fits custom splints/orthotics, and designs plans of care with goals and discharge planning.
• Performs examinations and determines physical therapy diagnoses and care plans.
• Monitors care delivered by support personnel and provides regular feedback.
• Communicates with the medical team and documents according to department standards.
• Acts as clinical instructor when assigned and participates in team and department meetings.
