Job summary

Ascension is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to join our Inpatient Rehabilitation team in Pensacola, Florida. You will implement therapy plans under a PT's supervision, contribute to patient recovery, document treatment, and support rehab workflow on a full-time schedule.

You’ll collaborate with therapists, aides, and students, participate in quality improvement, and help provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date.
• PTA credentialed from the Florida Board prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy interventions under a plan of care written by a physical therapist.
• Perform therapy interventions utilizing techniques and skills as appropriate for the patient population.
• Document treatment interventions given.
• May coordinate activities of physical therapy aides, students and other support personnel.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) credentialed from the Florida Board of Physical Therapy Practice prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• High school diploma or GED required.
