Job summary

NorthTexas Therapy & Home Care seeks a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide skilled OT services in pediatric home health and day facilities for patients aged 0–21, multiple times weekly.

You will assess, diagnose, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to set goals, plan interventions, and educate caregivers. Home health experience and Texas licensure are required; Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must hold a degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university.
• Current Texas state license is required.
• Experience in pediatrics is required.
• Clinical/Practicum hours completed.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services in the home or daytime facility for patients 0–21 years old, 2+ times per week.
• Define patient impairment level using appropriate assessment tools.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written reports.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to plan and evaluate goals and therapeutic interventions.
• Plan and modify care to meet OT intervention goals.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients with training materials and in-service programs.
• May supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants.

• Definepatients degree and type of physical, fine motor, and sensoryimpairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpretdiagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
• Incollaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate teamgoals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the teamin specific occupational therapy modalities and interventions.
• Planfor and modify care to meet goals of occupational therapy interventions.
• Educatestaff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training,printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with atotal occupational therapy program.
• Mayprovide supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants
