Job summary

NorthTexas Therapy & Home Care in Texas is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Occupational Therapist to provide in-home services to children aged 0-21, with 2 or more visits per week per physician orders.

You will assess fine motor and sensory impairments, interpret data, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to set goals and educate families. Supervision of assistants may be included, with bilingual Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Texas state license.
• Experience in pediatrics required.
• Home health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services in the home or daytime facility for patients 0-21 years old, 2+ times per week, per physician orders.
• Define patient impairment levels using appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to plan goals and teach OT modalities and interventions.
• Plan and modify care to meet OT intervention goals.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients with training materials and in-service programs.
• May supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants.

• Incollaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate teamgoals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the teamin specific occupational therapy modalities and interventions.
• Planfor and modify care to meet goals of occupational therapy interventions.
• Educatestaff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training,printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with atotal occupational therapy program.
• Mayprovide supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants
