Job summary

NorthTexas Therapy & Home Care in Richardson, TX seeks a pediatric occupational therapist to provide services in the home or daytime facility, 2+ visits weekly under physician orders.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s or Master’s in OT from an accredited program and a current Texas license, plus pediatric experience and practicum hours. Spanish-speaking a plus; home health experience preferred. Therapist-owned with mentoring and career support.

Qualifications

• Bachelors/Masters degree in occupational therapy from an accredited college or university.
• Current Texas state license.
• Experience in pediatrics required.
• Clinical/Practicum hours completed.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services in the home or daytime facility for patients aged 0–21, 2+ times per week, per physician orders.
• Define patients' impairment levels using appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written reports.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to plan and evaluate goals and interventions.
• Plan and modify care to achieve OT intervention goals.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients with training materials and in-service programs.
• May supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants.

• Interpretdiagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
• Incollaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate teamgoals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the teamin specific occupational therapy modalities and interventions.
• Planfor and modify care to meet goals of occupational therapy interventions.
• Educatestaff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training,printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with atotal occupational therapy program.
• Mayprovide supervision to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants
