Job summary

Saber Community Support and Development Office is hiring an Occupational Therapist to help residents regain function in a skilled nursing facility near Smith Mountain Lake, VA. You will guide patients toward rehab goals through education and personalized exercise plans.

The role offers full-time hours, weekdays shifts, competitive hourly pay, and access to CEUs, loan forgiveness programs, and full benefits to support ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current and valid OT license for Virginia.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use service delivery software and EHRs.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients on maintaining function after discharge.

Position Summary:

The primary function of your job is to return patient to optimal physical function and facilitate the achievement of patients, physicians, and therapy goals within a SNF setting. Instruct the patient in maintaining achieved level of function after discharge through education, independent exercise program, and appropriate activity modification.

Education/Qualifications:

• Employee must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university.
• Must possess a current and valid license granted from state of employment.
• Must possess basic computer skills and the ability to navigate through various software programs, including service delivery software and the electronic health record software.

Shifts & Wages:

• Full-Time Opportunities Available
• Shifts Needed: Monday - Friday
• Wage: $39.00 - $49.00 per hour
