Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. is seeking Occupational Therapists to provide home-based Early Intervention services to infants and toddlers, partnering with families to support developmental goals. The role involves working in natural environments including homes and community settings, with some virtual sessions available.

California OT licensure is required; pediatric EI experience preferred. You can expect flexible schedules, mileage reimbursement, and support for ongoing professional

Qualifications

• Pediatric OT experience, Early Intervention preferred.
• Home-based service delivery experience is required.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide occupational therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings; virtual services also currently available
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements

• California Occupational Therapy license
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred)
• Home-based service delivery experience preferred
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
• Excellent written & oral communication skills
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
