Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. is seeking a licensed pediatric occupational therapist to deliver home-based evaluations and therapies for infants, toddlers, and families. The role includes working within the child’s natural environments, including homes and community settings, with virtual services available.

The team emphasizes family coaching, progress reporting, HIPAA compliance, and flexible scheduling. California licensure and pediatric EI experience are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Pediatric occupational therapy experience required.
• Home-based service delivery experience preferred.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide OT services.
• Follow IFSP and develop family-centered strategies to achieve goals.
• Use family-centered coaching to build caregiver confidence and generalize progress.
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment including homes and daycares; virtual services available.
• Prepare reassessments and progress reports bi-annually.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant confidentiality.

Sunny Days is a nationwide agency and has programs throughout the state of California. Our programs are multidisciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services. Job Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide occupational therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings; virtual services also currently available
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements

• California Occupational Therapy license
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred)
• Home-based service delivery experience preferred
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
• Excellent written & oral communication skills
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
