Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. seeks a licensed Occupational Therapist to join our home-based Early Intervention team serving infants and toddlers with developmental needs from birth to three years old.

You will provide OT services in families' homes and community settings, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams. You will implement parent coaching and IFSP-aligned strategies to support each child’s development, while documenting progress and maintaining privacy in accordance with HIPAA and

Qualifications

• CA Occupational Therapy license required.
• Pediatric/EI experience preferred.
• Home-based service delivery experience preferred.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide OT services using the Parent Coaching Model.
• Collaborate with families to develop strategies aligned with IFSP goals.
• Deliver services in the child’s natural environment and document progress (re-assessments, progress notes).
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and state/federal laws.

Sunny Days is a nationwide agency and has programs throughout the state of California. Our programs are multidisciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide occupational therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements

• California Occupational Therapy license
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred)
• Home-based service delivery experience preferred
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
• Excellent written & oral communication skills
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
