Sunny Days is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide home-based Early Intervention services for infants and toddlers in California. You will work with families to support developmental goals within natural settings, including homes and community locations.

The role emphasizes parent coaching, IFSP collaboration, and ongoing progress documentation, with a supportive team and opportunities for flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• California Occupational Therapy license required.
• Pediatric experience in Early Intervention preferred.
• Home-based service delivery experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide OT services using the Parent Coaching Model.
• Follow IFSP and collaborate with families to reach developmental goals.
• Use family-centered coaching to build caregiver confidence and generalize progress.
• Deliver services in the child’s natural environment, including homes and community settings.
• Conduct re-assessments and write progress reports (bi-annual).
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and state/federal regulations.

Our programs are multidisciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services. Job Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide occupational therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements

• California Occupational Therapy license
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred)
• Home-based service delivery experience preferred
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
• Excellent written & oral communication skills
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
