Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. is seeking licensed Occupational Therapists to provide in-home Early Intervention services for infants and toddlers. You will assess development, design family-centered strategies, and coach caregivers in natural environments.

Flexible scheduling and locations allow you to balance client homes with community settings, including some virtual sessions. Requirements include California OT license and pediatric EI experience; bilingual Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist (CA) with pediatric EI experience.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal communication skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide occupational therapy services in home, school, or community settings.
• Follow IFSPs and collaborate with families to set achievable developmental goals.
• Coach caregivers using family-centered Parent Coaching Model and generalize progress at home.
• Provide services in natural environments; some virtual sessions may be available.
• Prepare progress reports and maintain confidentiality according to HIPAA and regulations.

Sunny Days of California, Inc. specializes in the area of early intervention, serving children with developmental needs from birth to three years of age. Sunny Days is a nationwide agency and has programs throughout the state of California. Our programs are multidisciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide occupational therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child's Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers' confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child's natural environment, in families' homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings; virtual services also currently available
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements:

• California Occupational Therapy license
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred)
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
