Sunny Days of California, Inc. is seeking an Occupational Therapist to work with infants, toddlers, and their families in home-based Early Intervention services.

We offer a flexible, rewarding opportunity with multidisciplinary therapy programs across California, including occupational, physical, and speech therapy, and a supportive clinical team. Join our nationwide agency focused on developmental support in home and community settings.

Qualifications

• California OT license required and pediatric EI experience preferred.
• Home-based service delivery experience preferred.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills; bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide occupational therapy services using the Parent Coaching Model.
• Follow each child’s IFSP and work with families to set developmental goals.
• Use family-centered coaching to build caregiver confidence and generalize progress.
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment and via virtual services when available.
• Prepare re-assessments and progress reports; maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and state/federal rules.

Sunny Days of California, Inc. specializes in the area of early intervention, serving children with developmental needs from birth to three years of age. Sunny Days is a nationwide agency and has programs throughout the state of California. Our programs are multidisciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services. Job Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide occupational therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings; virtual services also currently available
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements

• California Occupational Therapy license
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred)
• Home-based service delivery experience preferred
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
• Excellent written & oral communication skills
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
