Job summary

Ascension Baltimore's St. Agnes Ascension is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate patients' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial abilities and develop comprehensive care plans.

You will deliver individualized treatments to help patients regain independence and document progress and outcomes. As a leader, you will educate patients and families, coordinate discharge planning, and supervise OT assistants and therapy techs to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification required within 1 month of hire.
• Maryland OT credentialing required before hire date.
• Driver's license preferred from Maryland DMV.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate physical, cognitive, and psychosocial abilities to design care plans.
• Deliver individualized treatment plans to help patients regain independence.
• Accurately document patient progress, findings, and outcomes.

• Accurately document patient progress, clinical findings, and treatment outcomes.
• Educate patients and caregivers and facilitate seamless discharge planning and resource connections.
• Oversee and guide the care provided by Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and therapy technicians.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Occupational Therapy (OT) credentialed from the Maryland Board of Occupational Therapy Practice prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Drivers License credentialed from the Maryland Department of Motor Vehicles preferred.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree required. Master's OR Doctorate degree preferred.
