Job summary

Ascension Health in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to deliver therapy interventions and discharge planning within the Rehab - Speech Therapy department.

You will educate patients and families, maintain records, and participate in performance improvement processes. A Master's degree in SLP and licensure/ASHA credentials are required or pursued, with Doctorate preferred and a 403(b) retirement plan offered.

Qualifications

• BLS/CPR certification current or within 1 month of hire.
• MD licensure/certification required or eligible for licensure.
• ASHA certification or eligibility demonstrated prior to hire.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Perform therapy intervention utilizing standard therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the condition of the patient.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the Maryland Board of Audiologists, Hearing Aid Dispensers and Speech-Language Pathologists obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

• Speech language pathologist provisional license will be accepted until license is issued. License must be obtained within 12 months of hire date or job transfer date.

• Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• Master's degree from accredited Speech & Language Pathology program of university required. Doctorate degree from accredited Speech & Language Pathology program of university preferred.
