Job summary

Ascension is hiring an Occupational Therapist in Pensacola, FL for the Acute Care department. This day shift, full-time role includes rotating weekends and holidays with a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities include assessing patients, planning and implementing care, documenting progress, and educating patients and families. Requires Florida OT credential and a Bachelor's degree; Master’s/ Doctorate preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Occupational Therapy credential from Florida Board prior to hire.
• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Assess patient's ability to safely and effectively perform independent living skills.
• Design the appropriate plan of care, including type and frequency of treatment.
• Implement the treatment plan using appropriate modalities.
• Document findings of patient progress. Monitors and modifies the plan of care as needed.
• Educate the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Occupational Therapy (OT) credentialed from the Florida Board of Occupational Therapy prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree required. Master's OR Doctorate degree preferred.
