Job summary

Ascension Via Christi Occupational Health Center in Manhattan, KS is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to join our Occupational Health Team. The position involves providing services at the Manhattan Occupational Health Clinic with periodic coverage at the NBAF.

You will support occupational health services, perform preventive care, and manage work-related illnesses in a collaborative, physician-led environment within Ascension’s nonprofit Catholic health system.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire/transfer date.
• Licensed Physician Assistant credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts within 90 days of hire/transfer date.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality occupational health services to Manhattan-area companies and NBAF employees.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage work-related illnesses and injuries.
• Perform preventative health assessments, screenings, and immunizations.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

This is an exceptional full-time opportunity for a motivated Physician Assistant to join our Occupational Health Team, providing services at the Manhattan Occupational Health Clinic with periodic coverage at the National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility (NBAF).

• Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration

• Provide high-quality occupational health services to the Manhattan-area companies and fulfill a part-time role serving NBAF employees, researchers, maintenance, and animal handlers

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage work-related illnesses and injuries

• Perform preventative health assessments, screenings, and immunizations

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Licensed Physician Assistant credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program. Master's degree preferred.

Work Experience:

• 1 year of experience preferred.
