Job summary

Ascension Via Christi Manhattan Hospital in Manhattan, KS is seeking a Board‑Eligible/Board‑Certified Pediatrician for a full‑time inpatient role. You’ll provide comprehensive pediatric care in a level 2 nursery, attend deliveries, and coordinate newborn care with a strong referral network within a nonprofit health system.

The position offers a $50,000 sign‑on bonus, $10,000 relocation assistance, and a CME allowance of $4,000, with malpractice tail coverage.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical program.
• Licensed or eligible for Kansas medical licensure.
• Board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pediatric care for newborns, infants, children and adolescents in an inpatient setting.
• Attend deliveries and perform newborn assessments, stabilization and routine nursery care as needed.
• Manage admissions, daily rounds, discharge planning and parent education.

This job location is currently located in a Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) and/or Medically Underserved Areas/Populations (MUA/P) Shortage Designation Type.

• Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration
• Provide comprehensive pediatric care for newborns, infants, children and adolescents in the level 2 nursery inpatient setting
• Attend deliveries and provide newborn assessments, stabilization, and routine nursery care as needed
• Manage care for normal newborn nursery patients, including admissions, daily rounds, discharge planning, and parent education
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation within the electronic medical record system

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Licensed Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
