Job summary

Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan, Kansas is seeking a night shift CNA to support nursing staff with basic patient care in the Med Surg department. You will assist with patient movement and monitoring during your shift, keep rooms clean, and report any changes in patients’ conditions to the team.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED or CNA certification and BLS within 30 days. Prior caregiving experience is a plus, and the role offers comprehensive benefits and growth

• High School Diploma or GED or an active CNA Certification required.
• Previous caregiving experience preferred.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Provide hands‑on assistance with basic patient care under the guidance of licensed nursing staff

• Support safe patient movement, transfers, and positioning

• Observe and report changes in patientsâ physical, emotional, or mental condition to the nursing team promptly

• Maintain clean, organized patient rooms and ensure medical equipment is properly cared for and ready for use

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED or an active CNA Certification required.
