Job summary

Concentra is seeking a Medical Assistant to be a key member of our patient care team in Chattanooga, TN. The MSS will perform routine medical and testing procedures under direct supervision, support front-office tasks, and ensure a high-quality patient experience in a fast-paced setting.

You will engage in vital sign collection, specimen handling, and assist clinicians during examinations, while maintaining HIPAA compliance and excellent service.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with externship preferred, OR at least one year of direct patient care experience as a medical assistant.
• Six months or more of medical assistant experience.
• Knowledge of medical procedures and medical terminology; occupational medicine knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Prepare patients for physical examinations, including vitals and ancillary testing.
• Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, glucose, etc.).
• Assist providers during examination and treatment.
• Triage emergent patients and manage routine procedures.
• Maintain supplies, clean rooms and equipment, and stock exam rooms.
• Greet patients, check in/out, handle front office duties and documentation.
