Job summary

Concentra, Inc in Cincinnati is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our patient care team. You will perform routine medical procedures under supervision and help ensure a smooth, compassionate patient experience.

This role also involves vital signs, specimen collection, front desk duties, and HIPAA compliance. Training will support growth in occupational medicine and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with externship highly preferred, OR at least one year of direct patient care experience as a medical assistant.
• Customarily has at least six months or more of medical assistant experience.
• Knowledge of medical procedures and medical terminology.
• Working knowledge of occupational medicine requirements (state specific) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform Department of Transportation (DOT) and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Prepare patients for physical examinations, including taking vital signs and ancillary testing.
• Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, mono, glucose, etc.).
• Assist providers during examination and treatment.
• Triage emergent patients as needed.
• Front office duties: check in/out, obtain authorizations, communicate wait times.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and proper documentation.
