Job summary

Concentra, Inc. in El Monte, CA is seeking a Medical Assistant to perform routine medical procedures under clinician supervision and support registration and referral management. The role requires efficient, accurate patient care in a fast-paced setting.

You will take vital signs, prepare patients for exams, conduct rapid tests, assist clinicians, complete front/back office tasks, and ensure HIPAA compliance throughout the center.

Qualifications

• The candidate is a graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with externship preferred, or has at least one year of direct patient care as a medical assistant.
• Knowledge of medical procedures and medical terminology.
• Working knowledge of occupational medicine requirements (state specific) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Prepare patients for physical examinations including vital signs and ancillary testing.
• Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, glucose, etc.).
• Assist providers during examination and treatment.
• Handle front and back office clerical tasks and patient record documentation.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and safety in daily operations.
• Maintain supplies and clean, organized exam rooms.
• Support patient flow and communication of wait times.
