Job summary

Concentra is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to be a vital part of our patient care team. You will perform routine medical procedures under direct supervision and support registration, referral management, and patient experience in a fast-paced center.

You will prepare patients for exams, take vital signs, run rapid screening tests, assist clinicians, and handle front office tasks while upholding HIPAA compliance and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Six months or more of medical assistant experience.
• Knowledge of medical procedures and terminology.
• Working knowledge of occupational medicine requirements (state specific) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Prepare patients for physical examinations, including vital signs and ancillary testing.
• Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, mono, glucose, etc.).
• Assist providers during examination and treatment.
• Handle front office duties: greet patients, check in/out, answer calls.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and safety rules.
