Job summary

Concentra is seeking a Medical Assistant for Elm Hill Pike in Nashville, TN to support clinicians and deliver high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include preparing patients, taking vitals, assisting during examinations, and handling front/back office duties with strict HIPAA compliance.

The role covers DOT/non-DOT testing, rapid screening, and ensuring a positive patient experience in a fast-paced environment. Medical assisting certification and relevant clinical experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with externship preferred, or 1+ year direct patient care experience.
• Six months or more of medical assistant experience typical.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and occupational medicine requirements (state-specific) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Prepare patients for physical examinations, including taking vital signs and ancillary testing.
• Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, mono, glucose, etc.).
• Assist providers during examination and treatment.
• Responsible for routine medical procedures and triaging emergent patients.
• Prepare and assist clinician with procedure setup and injury care.
• Apply bandages, dressings, and splints as ordered.
