Yoh, a Day & Zimmermann company, seeks a licensed California RN for a temp contract in Long Beach. You will operate a solo occupational health clinic, handling first aid, minor acute care, surveillance exams and on-site emergencies, with an EMT nearby.

Shifts are Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, with a pay rate in the $50–$55/hour range and weekly direct deposit. BLS certification and US citizenship proof are required.

Qualifications

• Active/unrestricted California RN license.
• At least 3 years as a Registered Nurse.
• Experience in Occupational Health or related clinical settings.
• Proficient with basic computer systems and EMR/MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Nursing assessment, triage, treatment and education for employee health concerns.
• Provide wellness materials and information.
• Conduct medical surveillance exams and basic testing.
• Respond to emergencies and provide on-site medical care.

Occupational Health Registered Nurse (RN)

needed for a temp contract opportunity with Yoh’s high-tech manufacturing/engineering client located in Long Beach, CA. Job is expected to start ASAP and full-time coverage needed until around December 7th to cover a leave of absence.

This is a solo nurse clinic that offers occupational and preventative care for employees onsite. Duties will consist of first aid, basic walk-in care (minor acute care like colds, rashes, pink eye, etc.), assisting with surveillance exams, responding to medical emergencies, and a lot of computer work. You will be the only medical professional in the clinic but there is an EMT onsite.

---> SHIFTS: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm

Top Skills You Should Possess:

• Active/unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of California
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Registered Nurse
• Prior experience in: Occupational Health, Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Primary Care, School Nursing, Corrections or Family Medicine type setting
• Recent clinical experience and computer literate

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Nursing assessment, triage, treatment, and education for employee health concerns
• Provide wellness materials/information
• Medical surveillance exams (ie Respiratory Medical Clearance)
• Provide medical testing such as pulmonary function, blood glucose, blood pressure, cholesterol, vision and hearing screening and perform limited interpretation of tests
• Refer to higher level of care
• Respond to emergencies and provide emergency medical care for employees onsite

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

• Previous experience using EMR and MS Office products
• BLS certified
• Must have proof of US Citizenship (ie valid US Passport or original US Birth Certificate) for security clearance/badging
